Zombie Land Saga
OtakuFeed found that Zombie Land Saga anime announced that the anime is getting a film project.
Avex Pictures began streaming an announcement video on Sunday for the film. The live-action promo video is titled “A Zombie-less Fight: Saga Revenge Edition.” The video features actors Hakuryuu and Kunio Murai, who are both from Saga prefecture. The video features them arguing over the prefecture. Hakuryuu voiced the character White Ryu in the Zombie Land Saga Revenge anime.
MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames’ Zombie Land Saga anime aired in October 2018. Crunchyroll aired the 12-episode series, and Funimation aired an English dub.
The Zombie Land Saga Revenge continuation aired in Japan on April 8 and went on for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll also aired the sequel as it was streamed in Japan. Funimation started airing an English dub in July.
The anime is about Sakura Minamoto, who wants to become an idol, but is then hit by a truck and comes back as a zombie. A man called Kōtarō Tatsumi arrives and informs her he’s hiring her into an idol club comprising of female zombies that he has “recruited” from various periods of Japanese history.
The anime-inspired stage play Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n! was initially set to be held in March 2020 in Tokyo with seven plays.
The anime-inspired spin-off manga named Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie by character artist Kasumi Fukagawa. The manga was released in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine on May 19.
