OtakuFeed found that the anime of Koharu Inoue’s The Duke of Death and His Maid (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) manga concluded last Sunday with a unique commercial stating that a continuation has been approved.

The manga’s story is about the so-called Duke of Death cursed to take the life of any living being he touches. He is guided by his maiden Alice, who likes to tease him, but is the only person left who hasn’t abandoned him.
Yoshiki Yamakawa (Kill Me Baby, Little Busters!, Hi-Score Girl) supervised the initial anime at J.C. Staff. Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment was in command of the CGI. Hideki Shirane (Date A Live, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) was in the custody of the show’s scripts. Michiru Kuwabata (Danchi Tomoo, Hi-Score Girl) made the character designs. Yusuke Suzuki was the CG director. Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe made the music.
Inoue published the manga in Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry official web manga site in October 2017. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the manga in English. Funimation, which is airing the anime with an English dub and English, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles, defines the continuation as the second season.
