Shamu Itō Launches Katayoku no Michelangelo New Manga Set in Renaissance Italy in December

OtakuFeed found that the December edition of Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine unveiled that Shamu Itō is publishing a brand manga named Katayoku no Michelangelo (One-Winged Michelangelo) in the magazine’s upcoming edition on December 3. The manga is set in Renaissance Italy and is about a particular Renaissance artist equal to the well-known Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. The initial chapter will comprise of 74 pages, consisting of an opening color page.

Itō unveiled in August that they are hiring assistants for a brand new manga. Itō detailed the manga’s story as focusing on the development of an artist in Italy throughout the Middle Ages. The assistants will be required to do background drawings, props, and characters in a crowd, highlighting Italian brickwork structures.

Yen Press beforehand issued all four tomes of Itō’s Renaissance Eve manga in English digitally.

Itō compiled Renaissance Eve in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine from 2012 to 2014. As a result, Square Enix issued four volumes of the manga.
