Pop Team Epic
OtakuFeed found that Crunchyroll revealed that it would be airing Pop Team Epic Repeat (remix version), the Pop Team Epic television series’s rebroadcast. The anime is open for members globally outside of Asia, and that the very first episode is currently available.
Anime Description:
“Crude, rude, and a little…cute? Be prepared for the larger-than-life characteristics of Popuko and Pipimi, the short and high leads of Pop Team Epic! inspired by the odd four-panel webcomic made by Bukubu Ōkawa begins a parody that’ll astonish you with its unusual gags and extreme absurdity. “
The anime’s staff also unveiled that the show will have a different voice cast for the rebroadcast variant.
In the first rebroadcast episode, Mami Koyama and Kotono Mitsuishi perform as Popuko and Pipimi in the opening half of the show, and Ryusei Nakao and Norio Wakamoto perform Popuko and Pipimi in the other half.
The initial broadcast starred Masashi Ebara and Houchu Ohtsuka as Popuko and Pipimi in the first episode’s opening half, and Yuji Mitsuya and Noriko Hidaka as Popuko and Pipimi in the other half.
The anime series aired in January 2018. Crunchyroll, Funimation, AsianCrush, HIDIVE, and Amazon Prime Video all broadcasted the anime as it streamed in Japan. Adult Swim’s Toonami block started streaming the anime in June 2018. Sentai Filmworks published the show on Blu-ray Disc in North America in October 2018. Netflix started airing the anime in the United States in February 2020, but with just half of every episode available.
The initial anime’s full episodes are all 23 minutes long. Every episode has two central parts with the same amount of content. The two halves have distinctive voice actors and also some varied content such as changed jokes.
The anime converts the surreal four-panel manga by Bkub Okawa that pivots about two 14-year-old girls, the little Popuko and the high Pipimi.
