OtakuFeed found that this year’s 51st edition of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine unveiled that Yūji Kaku’s Hell’s Paradise Jigokuraku manga will be getting a stage play conversion.

A stage presentation will be at the Jump Festa ’22 event on December 18-19 to give more details on the stage play and the recently unveiled anime conversion.

The manga focuses on Gabimaru, once known as the most formidable ninja, but has quit being so, violating the rules of his village. Finally, after being captured, he states he has nothing left to live for. But, because of his superhuman levels of practice, he has accidentally withstood many executions, from attempts at decapitating to burning at stake. Belatedly, the executioner Sagiri Asaemon informs him that he has a lingering devotion to life and sends him on a quest to find the potion of immortality.

Kaku issued the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app in January 2018 and concluded the anime in January. The manga’s 13th and final volume was issued on April 30.

Viz Media published the manga digitally through its Shonen Jump service, and Shueisha also issued the manga through its MANGA Plus service. In addition, Viz Media also publishes the manga in print.

Ōhashi launched a spinoff manga titled Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku (spinoff has the same title but has hiragana instead of kanji) on Shonen Jump+ in January 2020 and ended it in June 2020. Shueisha published the manga as one compiled book volume in September 2020.

Kaku published the Ayashimon manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on November 15. Viz Media and MANGA Plus are both issuing the mangas in English.
