Detective Conan Manga Has Reach 250 Million Copies In Distribution

OtakuFeed found that Shogakukan unveiled that Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan) manga have over 250 million copies globally, including copies that weren’t purchased yet. In addition, the manga’s 100th collected book volume was issued in Japan.

Aoyama published the manga in 1994. The manga has encouraged an anime that began in 1996 and is still running and an anime film. The 24th film in the franchise, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, aired on April 16. The film gained a collective total of 7,479,317,860 yen (about US$67.86 million).

The series three spinoff manga has also encouraged some anime conversions: Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san, Detective Conan: Zero no TeaTime. Meitantei Conan Keisatsu Gakkō Hen Wild Police Story (Detective Conan: Police Academy Arc Wild Police Story).
